Annual Golf Outing for ONS Foundation to be played at Stanwich Club on June 11
At a recent kick off for the 2012 ONS Foundation Golf Outing, ONS Foundation Vice President Vicki Leeds Tananbaum and President Paul Sethi, MD unveiled the new state-of-the-art ONS Foundation Arthroscopy, Surgical Skills and Biomechanics Laboratory at 6 Greenwich Office Park. On Monday, June 11th, the Foundation will hold its 4th Benefit Golf Outing at The Stanwich Club on North Street. ONS Foundation Vice President Vicki Leeds Tananbaum, Michael Clain, MD and Brian Matthews are co-chairs. Prior golf outings, along with private donations, raised the funds to build the new lab.
This year, the golf outing committee has planned an exciting day of golf and other activities to raise funds needed to purchase biomechanical testing equipment for the lab. The day begins with registration and warm-up at 11 a.m. A lunch buffet will be served at 11:30 on the clubhouse terrace followed by the tournament shotgun start at 12:45 p.m. Afterwards, golfers and other guests will attend a festive cocktail reception featuring a silent auction chaired by Sandy Hart and Robert Klein that offers an array of tempting fashion and travel-related packages. A dinner buffet and live auction follows where guests will have the opportunity to bid on a three-night stay at the five-star Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort and Spa in St. Andrew’s Scotland, five nights for two in a junior suite, all inclusive, at the Curtain Bluff Resort in Antigua and other items. The silent auction offers Giants football tickets, numerous golf rounds at area courses, restaurant meals, jewelry and even tickets to see Madonna perform at Yankee Stadium. The cost to play in the outing is $1200 per player. Non-golfers may attend the dinner and auctions for $200 per person. Sponsorship levels range from $5,000 to $25,000. Online registration is available at www.ons-foundation.org or by calling the Foundation Coordinator at (203) 869-3131.
